At MODE the environment becomes key, all areas of research are developed within natural specifications. Sustainability flows through all of the firm’s services and production, by introducing this extra imperative innovation is able to flourish in new ways that has not been seen before.

Our machines perform to the highest current market specifications, the printing time and build quality reflect our sustainable approach to design.

Responsive feedback provided through the BIM network from environmental engineers provides up to date applied BREEAM regulations.

Additive manufacturing uses 100% of the material required for the build, this means there is no waste.

Subtractive manufacturing uses more material than is usually required, removing material from pre sized material panels is wasteful and bad for the environment.

Material from site can usually be used in the manufacture process, this is beneficial for the environment:

- No exterior travel costs getting material to site

- The material is suitable for context because it is already used on site

- If the product is no longer needed it can be broken down and recycled back into either machine

- The machines use minimal power that can be run from the natural environment (solar / wind power)
